So I sold a watch, they're claiming it's a fake and they want the money back but I will not give them the money back. Where do I stand in this? I'm essentially getting scammed here. I know the bank won't give them their money back but I'm scared of the police getting involved here because the other guy is in the wrong. It was £250.

Is the reason you're not gonna give them their money back because they won't send you the watch back or something?

If it's not fake and not a scam as you said it's not I wouldn't worry at all. Let her/him call the police dude. They're NOT going to do jack crap as you stated the watch is legit and not fake. The customer is a scum and an idiot.

I don't think they would be able to do anything. I think they'd have to take you to court since it's their word against yours.
Do you have proof that it was a legitimate watch?

you shouldnt even refund his money since hes trying to get it free keep the money if he request askes your bank for the refund they most likely will or wont idk about uk banks so im guessing they arent allowed? anyways you shouldnt worry about it if the cops get involved and or he tries to sue you should have the full transaction and show them that the sale is true but if he doesnt want to send it back then you can tell hes trying to scam you so keep his money you earned it

Just a classic scam from his end.

Remember the old days where someone said they'd call the police because you sold them an Xbox account or some shit, just trying to scare you into giving you his money back. I wouldn't even be phased dude.
