If its a small package and able to fit in the po box you just need the key.
If its a big package you might be able to get it over the counter.
Where I'm at they dont ask for ID if the package is to big for the po box.
Hope this helps.

This is what it says on the Post Office website. This may be what you are looking for.

To pick up your parcel, you'll need proof of identity (for the person the parcel is addressed to) and proof of delivery address from one of the following (originals, not copies)

You could try and get her ID and stuff and explain to them that you are collecting on her behalf. Also if they left any notices through the door, take that too.

Chances are that it's already on the vehicle out for delivery.
But anyways to pick up anything that's in her name, you are going to need her ID.

I had to pick up a letter for my grandpa and I just took his driver's license and picked it up.

I'm always at the Post Office either picking up or dropping off packages. From my knowledge if she calls and says my package has her name on it, she can tell them that you are going to pick it up, and they'll ask for your ID. This works for me however the people at my Post know me very well.
