Got a build ranging from about 1600-1800 right now, and my stepfather is wanting to put 64 gigs of RAM into it. I've tried explaining that 64 gigs of RAM is completely unnecessary, but he doesn't seem to understand that even 16 gigs is completely ideal. What are your thoughts?

Motherboard: MSI Z1170A
Graphics: MSI GTX 1070
Power: EVGA 850W
CPU: i7 6700k
CPU Cooler: Kraken x61

lol haven't bought SSD's yet RIP

What do you plan to do on the Computer? If just gaming then 16GB is more then fine no need to go any higher.

It is completely unnecessary for ANYTHING. Even heavy editing and streaming wont use that much, wouldnt even use 32GB.
