Was just browsing amazon and it seems nearly all respected manufacturers are selling their ram selling half price, I remember when i paid for 8gb of ram it was around £60-70 now they are selling on amazon from around £19-30 for 8gb and £50 for 16gb. Anyone know the reason behind this, I'm interested.

Yeah, RAM prices have dropped significantly. Happened a couple of months ago now, I think. I paid around £100 for 2x8GB DDR3 a little under 2 years ago. Now, you can get 2x8GB DDR4 for like £35.
