If anyone has used the steam controller and can recommend buying it or tell me what they think of it would be greatly appreciated.

I have used it a few times and I personally feel as though it works well for certain games and other games not so much compared to mouse/keyboard / analog controller.

Personally for the price of it I'd recommend it if you use a controller a lot for games on PC, if not then making the switch would probably be awkward for a less than satisfactory gain unless you play certain titles that it's really effective on.

If you're used to an Xbox controller, you may not like it. However, I love it.

It's good for some games.

I personally do not like the touchpad for an analog stick. It's really hard to play FPSs with it.

I would say that your money would be better spent buying an xbox controller or ps4 controller that hooks up to your computer. It does work, but the amount of time it takes to set up a game and map all the keyboard keys to buttons on the controller in order to make it feel natural is an uncomfortably large amount. If you have the time and want to try it, by all means go for it. Just my two cents.

Update: Steam controller is the best controller I've ever picked up. Its incredibly easy to use and feels great on the hands even after hours of not putting it down. Would rate 9/10 because big picture bugs
