IMO, face-to-face interaction is an effective way of resolving conflicts. It's better and much formal than arguing or debating through text or chat. Having an argument over the phone, text or chat can also be misleading because you can't see the other person's facial reaction.
Some people are kind of sensitive that's why a little change in the tone of voice can make or break him. Something like that.

I have had this problem recently. I had a complications with a girl, texting and things like that were not working. The face-to-face interaction has resolved the majority of the issues and as a result, feel better about myself. It is true that speaking in person has more of an effect.

Yes face to face contact can solve many problems, don't solve your problems over the Internet, it always makes things worse.

There is a strong belief that a face to face confrontation can help and have massive benefits.

The Restorative Justice programme puts the victim (or family of the victim) of a crime, face to face with criminal. In many cases this has helped a family or the victim feel closure over what has happened. In return for the meeting the criminal can use this towards his / her parole hearing.

The RJ programme is extremely successful for those that are applicable.

Although the information will be biased, it is what I had learned when I went to visit HMP Lancaster Farms on an A-Level Law educational visit. During which we spoke to one of the figureheads for the RJ programme across Lancashire and South Cumbria as well as a young woman that had experienced this programme.
