Any suggestions are appreciated. Doesn't need to be brand new, willing to buy a refurbished or used one if it fits the price range.
Won't be under heavy use. Just for Internet browsing, YouTube, and some school work. Was looking at a MacBook Air (I know, slap me) but I know they're way over priced, plus I don't wanna spend the $1000 or so dollars.
Leave some suggestions if you will thanks!

These are great laptops. Quad Core/Octa thread i7 QM (Best type of laptop processors), 1080p display, up to 32GB RAM (8GB is fine)

This one with SSD will be best buy:

They are very fast laptops and will fill your budget well. They should also have good WIFI cards for better signal. They were around $2k new.

Thanks, although I don't plan on gaming much so I don't think I need all that power I just need a nice performing and looking laptop for lighter use.

Well it's because you said Macbook air lol

Go for a Dell E6430 i5. They will perform well, in warranty and are cheap.
