Don't go and flame me. I play GTA with friends and only partake in events such as car shows, mess arounds and car duping. I will not be breaking the game if I do this, I am just curious.

I haven't seen any tutorials here or anything on how to ISO mod GTA online and I am kind of wanting to sit for a few hours and try it one night.

I have a few questions considering this.

1) I read on another website that you do not need a flashed xbox to ISO mod as most of useful data is stored in common.rpf which is stored on the installation disk of GTA V, is this true?

2) What is the recommended disks to use when burning GTA to disk? (such as 4.7GB DVD/RW 4x Write Speed)

3) Is there a good in-depth written or video/voice tutorial anywhere that I can follow if I actually want to do this? If so please link it

If anything I say sounds "nooby" then it is as I have never ISO modded before but I have done some modding in the past but nothing ISO related.

Thanks in advance!

Just expanding on what I said at the start. Yes I could "break" or "ruin" the game if I did this and played like that but I will not. It is my choice if I want to risk getting banned or not and with such an enormous online community, I doubt you will ever come across me.

If you're interested in ISO modding GTA V yourself you'll have to have a BurnerMAX compatible DVD drive to unlock the extra 2GB on the disk to burn GTA V. Prices for these disc drives vary. You can get an iHAS Rev B burner for around 50GBP, which is quite pricey. You'll need 8.5GB DVD+R DL discs.

I believe you can hotswap if that's still a thing. You don't always need a flashed Xbox. If you don't want to spend 50 quid on a DVD drive just to burn one game I'm sure you can pick up a pre-ISO modded version of GTA V for fairly cheap somewhere on the internet.

Don't even waste your time bro. R* are already banning people who are not going by the "Code of conduct" e.g (Selling car glitch) And many other glitches.

So R* will more than certainly Insta-ban you.

Thanks dude!

Well I have been reading on multiple gaming forums about hot-swapping as I remember I was going to do it a while back and there is some mixed posts about it. Some state that it can't be done with GTA V and some say it can so I am not too sure.

I will have a browse on sites like Amazon and what not tomorrow and get my new shopping list totaled up and then I'll consider the purchases or finding a pre-modded version of the game.

Once again, thanks!

If you don't have a burner that is able to burn games, then I would suggest you don't get one, and instead, invest in an XK3Y... They are far quicker and easier to use, as you play games straight from an external HDD, which means no burning!! They are also (IMHO) a lot 'safer' to use online, as they emulate stock firmware, rather than CFW. Also, with this, you could just download a pre modded ISO, transfer to HDD, and you are good to go
