I'm about to build my new PC with a couple of friends and im wondering if you could give me any advice on what not to do ect? This is my first build.

Make sure you shop around for deals, and don't overdo it on certain parts. IF you're going for some high-end parts, make sure you have a good cooling system as well.

I have got all the parts sitting beside me and about to build it in 30mins or so. I'll just be using the stock cooling fan for the CPU and the case has one 120mm fan i think.

Just make sure you discharge of all your guys static and if you get stuck look at videos on youtube or the user manual

RTFM - Read The ..... Manual, it helps with some of the tricky stuff like the system bus for the power button/LED.

Also although it doesn't look like it, a cooked grain of rice sized splodge of thermal paste is adequate for the stock cooler.

Well static is a big one and someone said that but also make sure that you keep everything without any dust

Tell your friends to discharge of their static to. You dont wanna be asking them to stump up a couple hundred dollars for a new part...
