I got a Netgear router and I got the default gateway perfect. I just have a problem with getting the password, I found the default username and password for my router and tried it and it said it was incorrect. I really want help with this.
Info:

Default gateway: 192.168.1.1

Reset the router, stick a small pin into a tiny hole you will see in the back of the router, hold it there for a few seconds. My brother did that because he didn't have the password.

I did that, it is still the same.

Additional info: I'm using Optimum Online. Maybe they made a custom default gateway password for the router.

Unless they were the ones that provided you with the router, I don't think they can do that.

If you've tried the default admin password, then that means that it has obviously been changed. If holding down the reset button doesn't work, it means the password is wrong.

Try looking for passwords for similar models and trying them.

I have gotten my router from them. They probably changed it. Maybe brute-forcing it will give me the password... I hope.

I use optimum too, it has nothing to do with it. Did user name admin and pass admin not work? If not, try routers name as user name, and admin ad password. I know for me the user name is WRTG something (name of router) and my password is custom set that my brother made...

My default password is Admin and password is password. I tried it like I said on the thread but still won't work. I don't know why this is happening to me! I just want to play Minecraft in peace with my friends.

It turned out that the password is Optimum, I found it on the back of my router.
