Since 1.8 completely changes world generation, your old seeds wont work.
Ive found one good seed so far, and Im looking to see what you guys find.
If you have one to add please post it, with a quick description of it, and I will add to this post.

89061404 - Cool NPC village on top of water instead of land (x:-700 , Z:150), and a nearby passage to a double dungeon

try the seed 12221. start it then get to high ground and look around your about 10 blocks from a nice village and near one of the buildings there is alot of sand in a triangle shape below it is a ravine

iv'e came up with this awesome seed it spawns you on an island surround by nothing but water and other islands (i'm serious i flew out for hundreds of blocks and couldn't find any big masses of land).
and also on one of the islands u spawn by has a dungeon and a huge cave underneath it i think ive only found about 5 trees so far on this map good luck.
