What you need:
-Computer Monitor
-Mini Display Port to HDMI/VGA/DVI (Some are just adapters and others are two ended cables)
-HDMI/VGA/DVI (Depending on which adapter you get)
-Keyboard and mouse
-Mini Display Port to HDMI/VGA/DVI (Some are just adapters and others are two ended cables)
-HDMI/VGA/DVI (Depending on which adapter you get)
-Keyboard and mouse
How to do it:
1. Connect the keyboard and mouse to your computer
2. Plug in the Mini display port adapter into the side of you Macbook
3. Connect your HDMI/VGA/DVI cable into the adapter and your monitor
4. Once you do these steps you should be able to close your laptop and wake it up by shaking the mouse.
5. Adjust your display settings in order to get the best quality of display your monitor offers.
