XLink Kai is a free console-tunneling application that enables you to play your Xbox games, and other console games--online against other users. The application makes your console believe that other consoles on the Internet are actually part of your Local Area Network. This allows you to play with them as if they were in the same room as you. Users are able to communicate through game chat rooms and voice chat. XLink Kai is available for the Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems.

Register your XTag on TeamXLink's website. Your XTag is the username you use to log into XLink services.

Download XLink Kai and install it on your computer (see link under Resources).

Connect your Xbox to your home network. The simplest way to do this is to connect your computer and Xbox to a router.

Run the XLink Kai application on your computer and log in with your XTag.

Place a game in your Xbox that supports system-link play, then enter the system-link menu and search for available games. Click on the game that you want to join.
