Non-Xenon Install (Motherboard Header: J2D2)

Red Wire: DB1F1

So many people complain that this point is hard. NO IT IS NOT IF YOU DO IT RIGHT! Cut the diode to size and sit it firmly in place between the cap and mosfet and make sure the wire sits nicely over DB1F1. Then use plenty of flux and then solder. It's very quick and simple. FYI The diodes is the long peice of wire that comes out of the shrink wrapped part of the red cable.

DB1F1 Soldering Tips:

1. Clean the point well

2. Apply flux to point

3. Apply a small amount of solder to the iron and then put it on the point

4. Flux the diode and tin it (apply a small amount of solder to the diode)

5. Now put the diode were you want it. You can hot glue it to the mosfet next to the point

6. Now take the diode and hold it in place then take the tip of your iron and head the diode it will transfer the heat to the board melting both the solder on the diode and the board together now remove iron and hold it for like 5 seconds so solder can cool and it will stay in place.

Yellow Wire: ROL (Ring Of Light front panel)

Simply tuck the cable under the panel so it holds in place - and cut the end of the cable to size then solder.

Close up shot of DB1F1. This is how it looks when you do it right. Use lots of flux and tuck the cable in nicely between the cap and the mosfet so you caneasily solder. See how clean it is ? (Click on the image for larger resolution)

And this is how you would fit the yellow cable behind the ROL panel when you fit the case back together. Again - see how nice and clean it is ? (Click on the image for larger resolution)

This is the Alternate Kit #5 that installs to the bottom of the mainboard. This is the most popular version for Non-Xenons

When using reading/writing the NAND ensure you have Xbox power cable plugged in but DO NOT power the Xbox on !

Naturally after install you leave everything in you don't remove them. We recommend you install the NAND-X part first - make sure you have a correct dump of the nand before you do ANY part of the JTAG install.

After following the Xell / Xbreboot tutorials - this is the bad boy you wanna see when getting your all important CPU key
