What makes a good Thermal grease?
high heat conductivity / low thermal resistance
non electrical conductive
non capacitance
long lasting
Factory Thermal grease types[edit]
Application method used at factory is known as "rice grain", is not efficient because there are areas of the IHS surface not covered with paste and this decreases the overall cooling performance
Along the PS3 production timelife there has been several thermal paste types used: white, blue
Probably the thermal paste type used depends of the factory where the PS3 was manufactured and its production date

Blue thermal paste, CECH-25xx manufactured in europe in production from July 2010 up to June 2011
