E3 2013: PS4 Supports Used Games, Don't Require Online Connection
A smiling Jack Tretton revealed that the PlayStation 4 will have no restrictions on used games and will not require an always-on internet connection for single-player games. "Yes, that's a good thing," he said to a cheering crowd. Sony also announced that trading, lending and selling of games will be permitted, and purchasing a game means that it is owned by the consumer forever. the system won't require any sort of online authentication for disc-based games.
