Can't wait for the 1070 to come out. I will probably wait for the aftermarket cards to come out before I jump the gun though.

Seam Prices are fantastic for both as well, a lot of people are going to be upgrading

If only I had saved my Tax Returns, haha. I bought the 980Ti FTW Edition. However, I won't upgrade my card for at least a year or two, due to it plays every game I own on Ultra with no problem. Of course, I'm playing on a 1080P monitor, which is Overkill for the 980!

As someone who is excited for the gtx1070, I almost can't justify the purchase for 1080p gaming. Do I buy a 1070 for the "future", or just get a cheap 970?

I would say grab a 970. The 1070 will only lower in price over time and on 1080p, the 970 is perfect. On top of that, most 970s are around $300 so it's a steal. I bet once the 1070 comes out, the 970s will drop even lower.

When you say "drop even lower", how much do you reckon it will drop by? Nonetheless, great specs! Personally, I doubt I'd buy something like this as I'd never need it.

I know I will be at least upgrading to the 1070. I currently have a 960 and while it's an amazing card, I would like more VRAM and fast speeds. My 960 will be put to great use when I build something for my nephew.
