GTA 6 Development Has Started, Location Undecided

4.5
Rockstar Games is famous for their Grand Theft Auto series. It is the best selling video game series and has sold millions of copies worldwide. The most recent GTA was released in 2013 and now that we are a few years away from the release of GTA 5, rumors point to a potential GTA 6.

GTA 5 was the last game released by Rockstar and so far, it has sold more than 50 million copies worldwide, which makes it one of the best selling video game in the GTA series. While we don’t have much information regarding a potential new GTA from Rockstar, it shouldn’t be surprising to expect a brand new game from them after the record breaking success of GTA 5.

Techradar has learned from their source that Rockstar Games has started preliminary work for GTA 6. The location for the game is undecided for now. They have also reported that Rockstar Games were thinking of Tokyo as a potential location for a brand new GTA but they had to drop their plans because of how the series was rooted in American culture. Take this information with a grain of salt though, as it is still unconfirmed and a rumor for now.

GTA 5 was originally released in 2013 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Rockstar Games later released an enhanced port of the game for the PS4 and Xbox One in 2014 followed by a release on PC in 2015.

KingDubstep Very annoying how everyone wants the new game to be set in a country other than America. It's really not going to happen, stop fussing about it. Even if the developers were going to set it in someplace, like London, where there are really no weapons to use. What are they gonna have? Crumpets infused with tea to pound your victims with deliciousness?

They had mentioned Tokyo, not London.Either way, if you really think London has no weapons, you're kidding yourself. I feel it'd be time for them to take something out of the U.S. Maybe go to a third world country? Such as a spec ops agent going to North Korea to take down Kim Jon Un or something. Who knows what they'll do.

But still..They owe GTA V Single Player DLC they promised years ago..

I don't mind where it is set, GTA is an amazing game no matter what

I really cannot wait for this GTA 5 is still sick but it does get a little boring sometimes, I cannot wait until everything is announced and we have a trailer of it.

A GTA with multiple cities would be class like in GTA San Andreas, I wouldnt mind Vice City and a few other cities or something like Chicago or Detroit

Im personally hoping for another country though like England or Australia

No doubt it will only be a boring as GTA V. Story mode was good but the Multiplayer is only good for half hour now then gets boring.

Omg, This is great news, I hope it's a sequel to GTA 5, With more heists, or atleast a single play dlc, with like 2 hours worth of story missions, Like what happens after you killed off those people? The FIB Finds out?

Man, I'd be all behind a Tokyo one. I thought maybe they could also go back to the UK. What I really feel has the best chance is another one based in Vice City. I'd just rather have something different than the same cities we have been seeing.

I'd be interested to see something along the lines of GTA 6 : Sin City.
