Rumor: New CoD to see Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty 4 as a digital bonus

4.1
We know little to nothing about Infinity Ward's upcoming Call of Duty title for this year, but a credible source reached out to us speculating over some details with the new title.

According to this source, there is a possibility that we could be seeing some sort of pre-order bonus content. What we may see in this bonus content is not yet confirmed, but our source tells us we may see Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Previous game titles as a pre-order bonus is not new to us.

Just to name a few games that have done this:
Dark Souls 3:
Dark Souls

Fallout 4:
Fallout 3

Quantum Break:
Alan Wake

Rainbow Six Siege:
Rainbow Six Vegas
Rainbow Six Vegas 2

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition:
Gears of War
Gears of War 2
Gears of War 3
Gears of War: Judgment

Just Cause 3:
Just Cause 2

All these games are backwards compatible, so whose to say we won't see the same with Call of Duty 2016? We cannot speak on behalf of what PlayStation will be doing, but this trend of pre-order bonuses on Xbox One gives a light to what Call of Duty 2016 could give us.

As you recall from Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, a bonus digital full game download for the original Call of Duty: Black Ops was given out. This could only add more reasons to why Activition would want to do this with Call of Duty 2016.

I don't know about you guys, but I would love to see Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox One.

Rawrrrrrr eh, like me, most people have had these games since they came out so no point pre-ordering for games you already have.

if you dont have a 360 anymore there is a point

Not really, if you don't have a 360 anymore, but still have the games, you can just put them into your xbox one. I did this for most of my games.

You do realize that this is what that would be for... The older Call of Duty games aren't backwards compatible yet...

TantiModz I honestly think it won't matter anymore. I do think the franchise is going to die out soon.

It's Call of Duty. No matter what, there are going to be people who buy the games.

This got mentioned in a youtube video.

:P well you can say it.but still wont catch my attention
The only bad part about doing it is that people wont play the actual game on release as much as they would play MW2 and COD4
pretty smart...

Would be good to have two of the best games back...

I hope this is true, because if the new game is shit (like the last 4 cod's have been, absolutely shockingly bad) I will still buy it for COD4 and MW2 for definite.

This is the only hope CoD has left. Just copy and paste MW2 to XB1...
