New Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Games Will Be Announced Monthly

Xbox head Phil Spencer took to Twitter to confirm that new Xbox 360 backwards compatible games on Xbox One will be revealed each month.

Spencer didn’t elaborate on the number of titles to be announced, nor a specific time each month when the announcement would be named.

Beginning from Tuesday, Dec. 1, Xbox Live Gold members can download “Castlestorm” for free on Xbox One.

For the rest of December, Xbox 360-owning patrons will be able to do some hacking and slashing in the classic arcade brawler “Sacred 3“. It’s unknown at this stage how many games will be added to the list every month.

Earlier this week, Microsoft confirmed via their blog that Thief, The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing, CastleStorm, Sacred 3, and Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising will all be available for free during the December “Games With Gold” promotion.

I think everyone is waiting for the older CoD's as well. They were so popular back then, no other games would even come close to what Cod4, Mw2 and Waw were.

No one said those will be Backwards compatible and if they will be it will be months to come.


black ops 1 will be one of the next games to be backwards

doublecross They need to stop leading us on with these crappy gamers, in the long run they are keeping their word. Though, these games aren't what we want
They should just have a big release for a quarter of the hyped games and then sprinkle on a little more of the hyped games. They know we don't want any of the listed games above, yet Dragons Rising is a decent, but not good game.


You have to convince the publishers to allow it. That is half the reason a lot of the most demanded ones arent being added
