343 Says Not To Expect Campaign DLC for Halo 5: Guardians

4.7
Halo 5: Guardians was just released for the Xbox One this week, and players have responded well to the game’s multiplayer but had some complaints about the story and length of the campaign. In a recent interview with Red Bull, 343’s creative director Josh Holmes offered some insight into the design of the campaign and shot down hopes of any spin-off downloadable content.

First off, Holmes asserted that Guardians‘ campaign is significantly longer than that of Halo 4, with the caveat that you take the time to track down all of the hidden intel and skulls. He also came out and said that no episodic add-ons are in development to continue the story of Halo 5: Guardians.

“While we’re always looking for new ways to expand the Halo universe, we do not currently have any plans to release future campaign content for Halo 5: Guardians.”

Halo 5: Guardians is now available exclusively for the Xbox One.

Ive never actually played through an entire Halo campaign.. but DLC for it would be stupid, wouldn't work out well.

Who needs to have a dlc for campaign seriously

I don't see loads of new games now don't have any campaign... I used to love playing games for their campaigns because you experience something completely different!

Synybun Campaign DLC doesn't seem like a good idea in the first place.

I agree, the campaign is cool, but the MP is pretty fun

O understand this but the campaign was amazing in my opinion.

Well they did say that they expect halo to last another 20 years so they have to be able to drag the story on.

As expected; although it's something they should re-think. If they could do a DLC on arbiter or something that'd be cool; guess we'll have to wait for the next game to continue the story.
