Xbox One button remapping coming to all controllers “soon”

It’s no longer an option just for the Elite.

You’ll soon be able to remap the controllers on all Xbox One controllers, according to Xbox Gaming manager Mike Ybarra.

Remapping had only been previously confirmed for the Xbox One Elite controller, which retails at $150.

Button remapping lets players reassign the controls on their pad to their liking. It’s a feature that came to the PS4 earlier this month.

Yup. I got a Scuf within the year too. Although it's really nice (Appearance and function) the Xbox Elite controller easily takes the cake.

The app and settings are already in the new dashboard. I just wish they actually worked, so far when you open the app to configure it, it just shows a picture of the controller.

Seriously though, this feature is long overdue for consoles.

Tricks Don't really know how it will work on the non-elite controllers but this shall be interesting.


its easy its just firmware for the controller...


Apparently its not to easy or this is something that we would have had already.

Also, I dont know why they would do this, it'll hurt the sales of the elite controller.

The elite controller has other things apart from the remapping.

It is easy they're just deciding to do it now. Considering how the controllers are updatable they were always capable of doing this,
