Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Testers Forced To Reinstall Games

Microsoft is bringing in the backwards compatibility program an “upcoming change” that will force players currently testing it to uninstall and reinstall a range of games. We've not been said what's happening on Xbox One but curiously enough the titles involved are all Rare's.


In total the games involved in this upcoming change are just eight, and all will come to retail with the Rare Replay collection, out in August for Xbox One. The games are:

Viva Pinata
Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise
Perfect Dark
Perfect Dark Zero
Kameo: Elements of Power
Jetpac Refuelled
Banjo-Kazooie
Banjo-Tooie

Backwards compatibility is now available only for Preview Program members, and will come to everyone else this fall. Microsoft has stated at E3 2015 that 100 games will be available at the launch of the program, and other 100 will arrive in time for the holidays.

I am still waiting on a list of these 100 games, I mean if they are all games like these then its not going to be too worth it, it seems really suspicious to me that they keep saying there will be 100 games at launch but never provide a list, it makes me think that the games are going to be really disappointing at first, I mean there are thousands of games out there for Xbox 360.

Yeah but that would mean PS4 getting it too, re-release will mean IW getting involved.

At the end of the day, it's all about the bottom line and that is money. This is going to take quite some time to get ALL popular titles on board considering the legal process that goes into making a game available on a console.

I'm sure they will bring bo2, wasn't it the best selling game?
