Xbox One Backwards Compatibility List Expands

Has future titles just been revealed by Microsoft for Xbox One’s backwards compatibility? It sure looks like it as this image promoting Xbox 360 titles on Xbox One has been released and features games that can’t be played just yet, but seem to be a few of the 100+ that were promised for the end of the year.



The new Xbox 360 games that will be backwards compatible to Xbox One includes: Halo 3, Halo Reach, Halo 3 ODST, Halo Wars, Fable II, Borderlands, Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Alan Wake and Shadow Complex.

The previous list of compatible games are: A Kingdom for Keflings, A World of Keflings, Alien Hominid HD, Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, BattleBlock Theater, Defense Grid, Geometry Wars Evolved, Hexic HD, Jetpac Refuelled, Kameo, Mass Effect, N+, Perfect Dark, Perfect Dark Zero, Small Arms, Super Meat Boy, Toy Soldiers, Toy Soldiers: Cold War, Viva Piñata, Viva Piñata: TIP and Zuma.

Microsoft has also added a specific section titled "Backwards Compatibility" on their Xbox Feedback page for the purpose of allowing users to vote on which games they may want added to the list of backwards compatible games, although this list is not a guarantee that the games will be added in the future.

Hollywood_Undead COD is not possible since they never had a digital download for 360.

Any game that is not digital download from Xbox 360 WILL NOT BE ON THE ONE.


Uhm...COD4..and BO1 are digital downloads. I have them...the others I would assume so also.

Anyway, back to topic. Can't wait for a whole bunch of games to be bc.

So far the list is all titles published by Microsoft or indie developers. Hopefully they will gt other publishers to get in on this or this backwards compatibility will be complete bs.

I feel Activision will not give them the license for Cod 4 and MW2 because they seem to think they were their bad games. They want everyone to play the new terrible CoDs.

AP5 still no call of duty i just want to play some good old black ops 2 and black ops 1 on my xbox one. i still dont understand why they would make viva piata compatible with the xbox one but not a good old classic

Yes! Thank you, BO2 needs to be next along with MW2 and BO1. The problem is they know people want the COD's so they are going to keep us waiting so we stay playing the XB1 until they add the Call of Duty titles.


I just want to play the old zombies :P
