Dark Souls 3 has been in the works for two years

The Bloodborne team is not responsible for Dark Souls 3.

Dark Souls 3 caught us by surprise. Oh, not the inevitable sequel, but word that Hidetaka Miyazaki would be leading the project. Surely it follows a bit too closely on Bloodborne’s heels…?

As it turns out out, Miyazaki worked on both Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3 simultaneously, but the rest of the Dark Souls 3 development team didn’t.

Speaking to VideoGamer, Miyazaki confirmed that Dark Souls 3 has been in the works for two years with a separate team.

“None of the Bloodborne team members joined the Dark Souls 3 development team,” he said.

This isn’t super surprising; FromSoftware is a big studio, and more than capable of fronting multiple teams. Moreover, Bloodborne was developed in collaboration with SCE Studio Japan.

In otherSouls 3 news, Miyazaki has confirmed that Dark Souls 3 is not the end of the series and that design wise it will be closer to Dark Souls 2 than Bloodborne or the original Dark Souls.

Dark Souls 3 is coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One in early 2016.

You're uninformed aren't you? Miyazaki actually was in charge of Dark Souls 1 and 2 however he had a less involved roll in 2 also responsible for Bloodborne. The fact you compared dark souls development with Copy Paste of Duty is hilarious.

Dark Souls one was beyond good, same with the 2nd but I'd rather it be more like the first.
