Fallout 4 coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC – watch the first trailer

4.6
Fallout 4′s website and trailer have both gone live, confirming the game is coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One and the game takes place in Boston and the surrounding state of Massachusetts.

The trailer was taken in-game, according to Bethesda, and the world premiere of the game will take place during the company’s E3 Showcase on June 14 at 7pm PDT/10pm EDT and streamed live via Twitch and YouTube.

“We know what this game means to everyone,” said game director, Todd Howard. “The time and technology have allowed us to be more ambitious than ever. We’ve never been more excited about a game, and we can’t wait to share it.”

The website has links to pre-orders from various retailers such as Amazon, GameStop and Best Buy, but the links don’t seem to be pointing to a Fallout 4 listing just yet.

Yesterday, Bethesda started teasing Fallout 4′s reveal through a countdown site, the source code showed the game was coming to the aforementioned platforms, as well as PS3 and Xbox 360. Neither platform was noted in the trailer.

At some point earlier today, the trailer for the game went live, and Reddit user mihkukas pulled a still from it. Even more images for the game have appeared on NeoGAF. It shows a dilapidated Scollay Square, which is in Boston. Compare the screengrab with the postcard image below

Better on the PC tbh but still good on ps4

How do you know? Its not even out yet!

Maybe because pretty much every game made by Bethesda Game Studios since Morrowind has been far better on PC and Todd Howard (Game Director of Bethesda Game Studios and chairmen at Bethesda Softworks) says that PC is the superior way to play his games. Judging from history and the top guy designing the game, I think it is safe to say PC is the way to go for this game.

PC MASTER RACE OMG.... No shutup. It's not about graphics that make the game good it's the story. If you have a shit story and good graphics what do you have? Nothing..... Also it's more common to own a console rather than a gaming pc....

Someone is mad that he can`t afford a PC. You`re point also makes no sense. If you have a good game then it will be great on PC. A shit game is shitty on no matter what console you play or PC

I wish all this PC master race stuff would stop, honestly, Gamers should just appreciate the platform they play on, the only people that go around dick measuring their consoles or pc's are the insecure little children that really have no clue.

Sure at the moment PC's are more powerful than the consoles, that being said, you have to weigh your options, Sitting at a desk playing a PC or comfy on the sofa, I know my choice but either way its down to preference. If you have more friends on the console than PC then theres that.

I would say, that if your a person that spends hundreds upon hundreds on a PC JUST for gaming it makes you pretty stupid, considering it has the potential for a lot more, if its pure gaming get a console.

I spent $300 on my gaming PC and I can play games that are on Xbox One and PS4 on max settings... Lol, it's not stupid at all, people who support consoles are just butthurt because they have no arguement.

Of course it seems stupid to someone who hasn't had the PCMR experience though... :

Whos to say he doesn't have a computer? I have a i7 laptop that is capable of maxing out fallout 4.... But I won't because consoles are better to lay back with friends on a tv instead of looking like a nerd with light up keyboards and mouses with custom buttons and a 3 screen monitors.... if you sit in your room with a expensive pc that can max any game on max settings go to tell your boss or co workers and see if they won't look at you like a game freak.. Also consoles you can game with friends with 2 player games if anyone on this fourm has any irl lmaoo

Well said bud, I have a custom built PC I spent £850 building, so yeah, im pretty sure id piss all over that other guys. what you said is accurate, I play console more for gaming as its a lot more comfy to sit on the sofa and chill than sit at a desk for hours on end.

That other guy just helped prove the point I was making about ignorant idiots that really have no about anything what so ever. and in case he comments, I spent that amount on the PC because I use it for work too, I needed a powerfull machine to do what I needed to do which is a lot of video rendering and takes a fair amount of power to process that as well as other things I need it to do.

PC gaming is so much better anyways.

At least I dont get banned for playing with mods unless I am on GTA V.

*Mods
*FPS
*Graphics
*Sales more often than xbox and PS's sales combined
*Cheaper games than on xbox. (G2A version of GTA V = $45 | Console price: $65 with tax)
*Arma Series
*Early access

Now, I have an RGH 360, AND a One, PC gaming is certainly better.

In case you did not hear my original response to my earlier comment here it is:
WTF are you talking about. I never once mentioned graphics in my post. The real reason why Bethesda games have always been better on PC is because of mods. Also what I said is coming from Todd Howard, the guy who made the damn game in the first place. With story, all versions of fallout 4 will be the same but the PC version will have more replayability because of the modding community that will add more to the story and things to do.

Now for your more recent comment:
You know nothing about computers. Any true PC gamer knows that having an i7 does not mean anything. I real knowledgable PC gamer would have stated his/her graphics card. Also with no details on the requirements for Fallout 4 there is no way of you knowing if you could max it out, especially with a laptop which are inferior to the traditional desktop. Also any frequent user of steam knows what Steam Big Picture is and how to use it. In case you do not know what this is, it is a layout so you can navigate steam more easily with a controller and it is meant to be used in a console environment (Big TV, Couch, etc.).

As for the peripherals you talked about, backlit keyboards are very good in a dark environment because you have dozens of more buttons than a controller. Custom layouts help the user use their keyboard and PC easier . Also having multiple monitors is very helpful for gaming and work. If I am doing a research paper I can have Word open on one monitor and a website on another. In gaming you can have a game open on one monitor and Teamspeak or Skype or even both on the other monitor.

Also PC gaming is pretty common. League of Legends is currently the most popular game around the world and that is only on PC. And do you really think that a boss is turned off by the fact that I built my own PC? That something that you can put on your resume. Even if you did not build your own PC, chances are you gained some great computer skills from just gaming on a PC, especially if your modding or hosting your own server.

I did not understand what you meant by two player games, but i assume you meant splitscreen. Just a reminder few Console games even support that these days. Also you can do a LAN on PC and most console games so I don't see where your really going with that.
Listen I have a gaming PC and consoles(XB1, PS3, 360, Wii) I built a gaming computer listening to people say that gaming PC's are better than consoles, but I learned my lesson. Dont get me wrong gaming PC's are awesome because the variety of F2P games and graphics, but then again on a console there is no better feeling then unlocking achievements(Idk why it feels better on console), playing with friends, and just having a controller in your hands.

Well I have to agree about achievements (not the best feeling) but I do think they are better on consoles. at least the xbox. I don't really care about them on steam. I play with friends on PC and I have an xbox controller I can use if I want to sit back. Or playstation controller.

Objectively I think PC's are better. But gaming in my opinion is a mostly subjective manner. In that sense there is no real winner.

Fallout and any Bethesda game have been better on PC no point arguing other wise this isn't because of graphics or FPS etc it's because it the mods and mods alone.

I believe it's gonna be after Fallout 3 but no one really knows for sure the game has been kept hush hush or a while we'll see on the 16th i guess.
