Latest H1Z1 ban wave strikes down nearly 25,000 cheaters

4.7
H1Z1 had quite a lot of cheaters, judging by the number of players who got banned this week.

Daybreak president John Smedley and his staff are on a campaign to end cheating in H1Z1, as well as the sites that provide said cheats. Smedley announced yesterday that the developer has banned 24,837 accounts from the game.

Smedley named one site that’s known to the H1Z1 community as a cheat provider.

A quick look on the game’s sub-Reddit reveals that cheaters have been running rampant in the game for a while. One cheat that’s often called out is “ESP,” essentially a wallhack, letting players know where others are at all times.

Cheaters are the worst sort of people in games imo, thank god they got rid of alot of them.

-Myth_ they pretty much copied DayZ with this game

Nah if you played this game than you know it's a different game, but H1z1 does have bans more often then DayZ does and the game actually works.

Miss Never knew people could even cheat in this game. A buddy of mine has it and says it's not possible, guess he was wrong. Good to see a company clamp down on these douchebags though.

I never knew people cheated in H1Z1 either tbh. I hardly play it though tbf.

Good to see them do this. Cheaters never prosper.

Good. Ban waves should be more frequent than they already are.

It's possible to cheat in any game, the ones who were getting caught quickly, were probably the ones getting their cheats off YouTube videos and any other public hosting site to download. Where as I'm sure these ones, had their cheats from "private" sites.

Dumb-ass cheaters need to have a wake up call and smell the coffee, they should have seen this coming. Oh well it's hilarious.

RyujiTakasu Rumors on the r/h1z1 say another big ban wave is in the making. Good to see them working on it!

Kinda curious to see what the number of bans will be this time around, if the cheaters who got banned, got the game again, and decided to cheat again or not.
