According to an extensive interview with GamesPlanetAU, Black Ops 3 will allow players to customize their weapons in ways never done before in the all new GunSmith section of multiplayer.

The Gunsmith allows players to customize and build out their weapons incredibly precise then ever before. You will be able to add five attachments and optics to base of the gun.

In addition, an all new Paintshop feature will let players create camos and place them on their weapons. Paintshop allows up to 64 players to be placed on three sides of a weapon, on top of usual paint jobs. The final game will, reportedly, feature carbon fiber material to add on.



Treyarch has revealed three multiplayer maps that are in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

Combine – A Saharan research facility with open areas and tight corners.
Stronghold – A Swiss chateau up in the Alps.
Hunted – Ethiopian hunting lodge with water fall.

More details on multiplayer will be provided as the year goes on; Black Ops III MP will be playable at E3.

“But that’s not the end,” said Jason Blundell, the game’s campaign director and senior executive producer at Treyarch. “What follows is the largest leak of intelligence in military history, which leads to the collapse of covert operations worldwide, creating utter chaos. Your mission is to go behind enemy lines to find your brothers and uncover the disturbing truth.”

The different between Snowden’s leaks and the leaks in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 are that the leaks in game cause a disastrous effect on the world.

“The leak [in the game] is of clandestine operations,” explained Treyarch Studio Head Mark Lamia during the same group interview. It contained CIA secrets, he explained, including the locations of secret operations and military weak points. “Once all that’s exposed, it creates incredible amounts of instability,”

he said.

The story features a female soldier on your team, that comments and confirm the leaker’s name, Taylor. “The information Taylor released helped the NRC target strategic weak points in the Egyptian military defenses. They are gaining territory fast. Civilian casualties are high. Cairo’s on the brink of total collapse.”

Black Ops 3 will feature a new specialist character system in multiplayer inspired by Destiny. Treyarch has added a new way for players to rank up and level up. The title features nine specialists, each with two abilities, for a total of 18 choices. You get to pick one specialist and one of the powers before every match…similar to how you create a class before matches.

Specialist abilities range from robot arm transforming into a gun all the way to ability to see through walls. Some are called “Seraph”‘s powerful handcannon, or the “Ruin”‘s fists-first smash attack – which take cues from Destiny’s super abilities.



a brand new movement system, including wall running, where players are able to easily go from place to place. In addition, the movement system also features jet packs in which players can move through the air.

All of these movements can be chained together, and become an independent experience on its own. While doing any of these movements, you can actually still use your weapon on the go.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, will be available only on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Four out of nine specialists have been revealed:
-Ruin
-Seraph (Combat Focus)
-Outrider (combat bow)
-Reaper (robot)

Three MP maps have been revealed so far:
-Stronghold (icy map)
-Combine (smaller sized map)
-Hunted (ft. waterfall)
MP modes so far: Kill Confirmed, Team Deathmatch, and Domination.

The recommended specs for higher performance have not yet been shared. Neither has the hard drive space requirement, but that makes sense considering the game isn’t finished.

Treyarch says one of its goals for Black Ops 3 PC development is to ensure feature-rich options for players with powerful rigs, while also offering a great experience to players with lower-end PCs
