PlayStation 4 firmware update 2.51 now live

Firmware update 2.51 has been released for the PlayStation 4.

PlayStation 4 users have started receiving the latest firmware update this morning. Update 2.51 is clocking in at just over 200MB. The official firmware portal on Sony’s site has not yet been updated to reflect the new release.

According to PS4 firmware however there are only two new stability fixes.

System software stability during use of some features has been improved
Operation quality during use of some applications has been improved

Bros This looks like a pretty cool update, theres always so many for ps though than xbox!

You actually need a slap! It is a bullshit update and no they dont have many more than Xbox as Xbox do monthly updates which actually have new features etc...

The update didn't do much... At least I have not noticed any significant change. Makes me wonder if it was more than just stability fixes.

Well it is Sony so that much should be a given.

Lol, I'm still a few updates behind. Really gotta get some new shit on the consoles that's good. I haven't used mine in a good while, they're just sitting there collecting dust.

SimplyDank Stabibility fixes... niiiiiice....

Usually I feel the same way but this time it seems to be doing exactly what it says for once. 2.50 was super buggy and this update seems to be fixing a few of the issues. But may also be patching an exploit or two at the same time...
