Destiny: House of Wolves will not have a Raid

House of Wolves, Destiny’s second expansion, will not add a raid.

House of Wolves hits Destiny on May 19 and we’re pretty hyped about it.

Destiny developer Bungie has not yet outlined all the content of House of Wolves, but in a new Bungie.net update, the team confirmed there won’t be a Raid this time.

Instead, we’ll get a new kind of endgame activity.

“We didn’t make this decision lightly. Our team has been humbled by the reception of Raids in Destiny and we are creating a new Raid for a release later this year,” Bungie said.

Bungie did say that House of Wolves adds “a new cooperative end game activity focused on variety, replayability, and skill” – a battle arena called The Prison of Elders.

In the coming weeks, Bungie will explain how gear will be upgraded in the Expansion, as well as the Trials of Osiris and Prison of Elders, which are described as “brand new additions to Destiny’s end game activities”.

The use of the phrase “battle arena” to describe Prison of Elders (which the observant may remember is mentioned in the Winter’s Run strike) makes me think we’re looking at a horde mode style affair.

Raids were probably the one thing that people were looking forward to in DLCs for Destiny.

Sanctyy This is an issue for people? Shows how little I know about the game. I'm pretty surprised people still care about it. I considered picking it up, seen 5 minutes of gameplay and never thought about the game since. I thought it'd have died as quickly as Titanfall did tbh.


Didnt die out as fast as titanfall but did die out after a while.

Lol settle down fan boy, if you had a brain you would realise this game has a lack of content and they're trying to soak as much money out of people as they can. This next expansion won't even have a raid what is this shit? This game would be so good if they didn't realse such little content that takes you 2hours to beat. There trying to make this game last 10 years what a joke. Every weekly and daily I've played over 100 times. This game is a joke. Might as well wait 3 years for destiny 2 for more then 1 day of content.


Full agree with glitches. Destiny is terrible. Has been from the start. They're releasing tiny little addons making all the Destiny fanboys pay for that include bare minimum content. It's just a tiny thing to make the players think they're paying for something good.

Bungie and Activision screwed up Destiny. I'm glad MS didn't pay out money to get early/more content like Sony did. Haha.

This is an amazing game just an insane lack of content and what getting all of this weapons and gear is so easily obtained that its boring the only thing i look forward to is the raids and those get boring after the first couple weeks when you get everything

Compare Destiny to other games and you will almost instantly lose interest. Go play a mmorpg if you want to grind all day, at least you get rewarded to some extent.
