Rockstar Introduces GTA V and GTA Online Video Editor For PC

Rockstar presents Grand Theft Auto 5′ killer app on PC: the Rockstar Editor.

The built-in feature, available only in the PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 and Grand Theft Auto Online, allows players to record, edit, and share videos created in the editor while using powerful tools like special camera modes, filters, depth of field and audio customization options.

The new Director mode “allows you to stage creative moviemaking sequences from a cast of characters ranging from familiar faces from Story Mode, to pedestrians and even animals,” says Rockstar. “You’ll be able to upload your finished masterpiece to YouTube and to the Rockstar Games Social Club to share with friends.”

The Rockstar Editor will be available on day one when Grand Theft Auto 5 launches on PC tomorrow, April 14.

This is why Rockstar is one of the better companies in gaming. They don't take down videos of their games like other companies do but instead help GTAV players in creating content for others to see.

This is quite a cool feature. It's one that I wouldn't have been bothered about, but knowing it's there is pretty cool. Something I'll probably use, just because it's there.

I still think most people would just use a screen capture program like Fraps and edit it themselves.
