Here's Microsoft's first video of the Windows 10 preview release

4.7
Microsoft will release the preview version of Windows 10 to the public tomorrow, but it's already giving a sneak peak in video form.

In a video uploaded to YouTube and shared on Microsoft's official Windows blog, Joe Belfiore, leader of the Windows product definition and design team, guides the main changes people can expect in the preview. Some of the biggest changes include the task view and snap assist features revealed today. Additionally, the preview will feature the return of the Start menu to Windows, a feature heavily requested by users.

The final version of Windows 10 is expected to officially release to the general public sometime in mid-2015, after Microsoft's next Build conference.

Cyimking Why not call this Windows 8.2 or 8.3? To me a major update like Windows 10 should be a game changer and something completely new like a new layout / theme. This is Windows 8 with new features. I like but I hope it's a free upgrade

Bruh.

This is a major OS version change, not something as small as going from 8 to 8.1. Just because things don't like "revolutionary" when it comes to the UI, doesn't mean the under-lying workings of the OS aren't drastically improved. I think it's named appropriately, because by your logic, Windows 8 should have just been called "Windows 7.1/.2" because the only UI change was the boot Metro UI and start menu.

Hmm, I'm actually liking how this is looking. I wasn't too much a fan of Windows 8, and stuck with 7, however, if things keep going the way they are with this preview, I will definitely be trying out Windows 10. I really like the fact that they added 4 desktop tabs on one screen. I did like how Windows 8 allowed the two, but 4 would definitely fit much more for me, Skype, Chrome, Steam and whatever else I wish to put in the 4th slot.

LSX Wow. Another crappy over-engineered OS. First Windows 8, now 9. Windows 7 is still the best IMO and probably always will be.

Lemme guess, you did not read the article AND you know nothing about what Win10 will look like.

But really, I cant wait for this. The old start menu is back and now they added widgets. Looks great to me. Hope me having Windows 8 will allow me to get this for free. And if it doesn't, oh well. I'd drop 100 dollars on this.

Loving the look already. Windows 8 was not only bad, but ugly.

A good lot of these comments are rather useless.

I have used windows 7 for so many years, and seeing windows 10 being released makes me want to switch over, which I think I will be doing so. I think it is well worth the switch over.
