Ubisoft has dated The Crew's closed beta for PS4 and Xbox One.

Following earlier beta tests on PC, new-gen console owners will be able to sample the game from September 30, the publisher has announced. Those interested in participating can register

The Crew is an open-world driving game featuring MMO and RPG elements. It offers a 1,900 square mile rendition of the US, including 12 major cities and their surroundings.

It's the debut title from Lyon, France-based studio Ivory Tower, whose team includes members who have previously worked on titles in the Need for Speed, Test Drive Unlimited and V-Rally series.

In August, Ubisoft announced that the previously confirmed PC, Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game would be joined by an Xbox 360 edition.

Explaining the absence of a PS3 version, the company said: "When we made the decision to port it to the previous generation, we decided to focus solely on the platform closest to the new-gen's technical infrastructure, which is the Xbox 360."

The Crew release date is November 11 on all platforms.

I'm pretty excited about this game. I don't usually like racing/car games, but from what I have seen, I think I will be getting this one.

Miss Hate closed betas. Make them open! Especially for a game like this.


Why would they ever want to do that? When open, majority of the players that'll be involved will be useless. They need feedback.

You do know Forza and the Crew Beta both go out on the same date which is Tuesday September 30th. The Timing on the beta is bad as I'm more than likely going to be on Forza Horizon 2 often.


I know, I'm probably going to play horizon 2 over this but I'm excited for both.
