Xbox Live Experiencing Issues, PSN Attackers Taking Credit

Xbox Live is currently experiencing sign-in issues and those claiming responsibility for the earlier PSN attacks, and the bomb threat against a flight carrying Sony online president John Smedley are taking credit.

Is anyone having issues with the Xbox Live Login servers?

The good news is, Microsoft is fully aware of the issue, and has this message posted on the Xbox Live status page:

Xbox members, are you having a hard time signing into Live? We’re aware of the issue and working hard to find a solution as quickly as possible. Thanks for being patient in the meantime. Please check back in a half hour for an update on our progress.

The issue does not appear to be entirely widespread. While I did have issues signing into Xbox Live with my Xbox 360, my Xbox One did not pose any problems.

It sucks for the people that can't get online hopefully Microsoft will get back up to speed soon. I really hope that Steam/Valve isn't next..

No issues what-so ever I had 25 friends on earlier on the 360 and got into a GTA V Lobby Perfectly fine, same with maddden and cod on my xbox one. HM.

true but still half down or down is unacceptable and can happen to anyone. what if your one of the certain people? It takes alot more to take down 300,000 servers compare to playstations what 30,000? not to mention every other time i try to get on live theres always a problem with it not necessarily down but problems with certain things...where as if playstation is not being hacked it usally works just fine.

Sorry to tell you but am online right now playing GTA Online so go figure :)

I've been able to get on xbl all day only affecting a small amount of players unlike psn.


Not many players to effect on Xbox though #JustSaying

Been on both the 360 and the Xbox one all day i haven't had 1 problem. The servers are to spread out i highly doubt they can do anything comparable to what they did to sony.
