Minecraft May Have Been Delayed On PS4, Xbox One?

4.5
There is evidence to suggest that the PS4, Xbox One and PS Vita versions of Minecraft may no longer be coming out in August.

The PS4, Xbox One and PS Vita versions of Minecraft had been slated to come out in August.

However, there is now evidence to suggest that the release date for the PS4, Xbox One and PS Vita versions of Minecraft may have been delayed into September.

The first indication is that a recent TV ad for the PS Vita displays the text "out in September" whilst showing Minecraft running on the PS Vita.

This apparent delay may not necessarily extend to Mincraft's PS4 and Xbox One versions, but it should be noted that developer 4J has tweeted what could be construed as a hint at delays.

"We're still bug fixing #MinecraftXbox1, #MinecraftPS4 and #MinecraftPSVita. Thanks for you patience!," the studio tweeted.

Taken in conjunction with the delay of Minecraft on PS Vita, it would not be surprising if it is confirmed that the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Minecraft will also be delayed into September.

Well, they announced that they are doing final bug fixes and by the end of the week it will be waiting final approval from Microsoft really soon. I haven't heard anything about the PS4 and Vita editions but hopefully they will be out soon too.

Honestly, minecraft is so limited anyways as in graphics enhancements ect it seems a little strange :/

I've been playing Minecraft (PC) since it was in it's Alpha stages. Which was a very long time ago. I've watched it grow over the years from being simple to very, very complex with everything, biomes, blocks, mods, clients, mini-games, etc.

Secretly I've gotten into MC so much this last few months really been enjoying it and nice to know it's coming to next gen, it will be alot better if you are allowed to buy custom texture packs etc as well

I personally got into it back in the beta stages after seeing a youtuber doing a few videos. I'm not really a big fan anymore but i still jump one once in a while

I have already been waiting so long for this too come out that I really want to play it on next gen consoles. I am really glad they are going to support the saved worlds from the last gen consoles. I think that the large worlds are going to be really good. I hope they won't delay it and that they give us a solid release date really soon.

If a game is pushed into development for longer - that's a good thing imo.
It either means the game(s) wasn't ready for release.
Hopefully they won't delay it for too long though!

I really hope it isn't delayed into September because of Destiny coming out in September as well. I'm really excited for the both of these, but will be playing Destiny a load more than Minecraft personally.
