3D Blu-ray support arrives in latest PlayStation 4 update

4.3
PlayStation 4's latest firmware is available to download and install now, bringing 3D Blu-ray support to the system as promised. If you're hoping for the same feature on Xbox One, it's due to hit in next month's system update.

Today's PS4 update also means users can choose to automatically download "Featured Content" from the PlayStation Store - according to Sony Europe's Chris Owen that includes things like demos and time-limited trials, and no charged content. Also, system messages that were in the top right will now appear in the top left, and most importantly of all, the sound quality on 1.5x DVD and Blu-ray playback is improved.

slapshot101 This is good even though there doesn't seem to be too many Blu-Ray 3D movies out there, I don't know yet if they just aren't making any or they just don't sell them in store. I have never been a huge fan of 3D movies and TV at home as it really hasn't been that good, but at least now I don't have to go out and purchase a 3D Blu-Ray player, which I was about to do in the her future.

3d doesnt even make a difference imo

I personally have only even seen a 3D movie once... doesn't seem like anything too special for me. I found that it also acted to hurt my eyes quite a bit

I would've thought that the Play Station 4 would've had this feature since the console's release, but at least they have it now. Also, I didn't know the Xbox One was getting this either, so I'm excited for the system update next month that will include this.

Yoplait- I really want the ps4! But I'm not used to the controls! If they could make a controller similar to the Xbox one I would buy it. I want the graphics

The controller is awesome,it's a huge improvement from PS3.

I like how the controller is bigger

Miss Surprised this wasn't available with it from the beginning.

I agree, i think they waited on purpose

I don't think they did it on "Purpose" i think they needed more time for them to add it
