343 Says Halo: Master Chief Collection “Definitely” Not Coming To Xbox 360

4.6
One of the big announcements to be revealed during Microsoft’s E3 2014 press conference was Halo: The Master Chief Collection, a new package containing HD versions of the four mainline Halo games all coming to Xbox One in an epic, Master Chief-sized package.

Speaking in an interview, 343 Industries Head Bonnie Ross mentioned specifically on The Master Chief Collection‘s likelihood of appearing on other platforms/consoles that fans should only expect to see the new collection appear on Xbox One for the time being, such as Xbox 360 and PC. For Xbox 360, it became a matter of technical limitations, as Ross mentioned that “We do not have any plans to bring the game to Xbox 360 as the game size, enhanced features and technical specifications simply can’t support it.”

Likewise, Ross also noted that Halo and Halo 2 previously appeared on PC shortly after their initial release on Xbox, but didn’t say whether we can expect to see The Master Chief Collection on PC down the line, or other future Halo titles – for now, fans can expect to see Master Chief only being on Xbox One for the time being, it seems.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection releases for Xbox One on November 11th, 2014.

that's highly disappointing, I really don't want to buy a next gen console though.

putting four games on a 128gb quadruple layer bluray disc is just not feasible for the previous gen....but with the power of xbox one

I've never been a big halo fan but for people that do like halo, that's gotta suck...

BarbeR This is best on the new console simply because it has a bigger capacity disc to hold them (blue ray)

Lol (blue ray) that's Sony and it doesn't have to do with disc capacity more like cpu and probably graphics card.

Sony does not own blu ray, they own the logo, they are apart of the board of directors and other companies such as Apple
Dell
HP
Hitachi
LG
Mitsubishi Electric
Panasonic
Pioneer
Philips
Samsung
Sharp
Sony
Sun Microsystems
TDK
Thomson
Twentieth Century Fox
Walt Disney
Warner Bros.
So Sony does not own Blu ray

good developers need to keep doing this. stop wasting time trying to port games to last gen. if anyone has switched to next gen then tough titties.

Rin Doesn't really matter to me. Halo 3 and 4 sucked so much IMO.

Halo 3 was great man. And Halo 4 was a little lacking, but it wasn't bad either!
