Halo: The Master Chief Collection Pre-Order Bonuses Detailed

4.5
The ultimate Halo experience is coming to Xbox One this November 11 in Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

Chances are, if you’re an Xbox One owner, you’ve probably already pre-ordered the package that contains all four core Halo games, including Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3, and Halo 4. But if you haven’t yet, you’ve got a few options with different retailers offering different in-game bonuses.

At the moment, Best Buy, Amazon, GameStop, and ShopTo are all throwing in unique Skulls, which are essentially special options that allow you to alter in-game properties, with every pre-order of The Master Chief Collection.

We’ve got the entire list of bonuses below, courtesy of Beyond Entertainment, if you’d like to check it out. Simply click on the retailer name to be taken to their respective website. Don’t contemplate your selection too hard, however, as it appears that the bonus content will only remain exclusive until mid-December, according to ShopTo’s description.

Miss I'd never pre-order a game. Just seems pointless to me, even with everything and anything they include with it.

Seriously. Wow a few skulls? Nothing significant at all. All pre-order bonuses are stupid and used to get people's money even more.
Don't see how it's used to get people's money more when it's the same price as if you were to buy it when it is released in stores..
I know right? They say it's stupid but it's just a smart business strategy.

But as always, the children of the internet will find any and every way to complain -_-

Idiots. When you pre-order a game, that's basically them locking your money down. Why can't you just buy it full price or wait until it drops? It's not like the game is gonna be sold out. And they use these bonuses to reel in people like yourselves. Stay sheep.

Not sure how preordering works where you live, but it doesn't happen like that where I live. They aren't locking down your money. You put $5 down. You can cancel it and get it back at any time. When you put $5 down, you are basically making the game $5 cheaper, because that money does go toward the game. If I am going to get a game one release day anyway, may as well get something extra as well.

Pre ordering basically means you pay for the game before it's released and you can pick it up the night/morning it's released without having to wait for more copies to come in due to sellouts. The store bonuses are just something extra you get dependent on where you pre order, you pay the same price after release as you do for pre order, unless you get a special edition like Call of Duty's Hardened or Prestige editions.

If I'm gonna buy a game, I don't care how much I'm gonna pay for the pre-order bonuses.
