Watch Dogs breaks Ubisoft day-one sales record

Watch Dogs has sold the most copies in its first 24 hours of any game in Ubisoft history, the firm announced Wednesday.

The firm did not address specific sales numbers. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said in a prepared statement that Watch Dogs' sales are particularly impressive considering it does not belong to an established franchise.

"Watch Dogs is an amazing achievement and our teams should be proud that the creativity, innovation and long hours they invested in making this game are paying off," Guillemot said. "It's great to see so many players enjoying the game, and it shows that Watch Dogs has cracked the code for developing a new blockbuster IP and a thoroughly new-gen experience."

The publisher's best-selling franchise is Assassin's Creed, with more than 76 million copies sold worldwide. Ubisoft has made no secret of its hopes to turn Watch Dogs into another tentpole series.

The Watch Dogs season pass offers extra side missions, weapons, and a new campaign following conspiracy theorist hacker T-Bone.

Zero_Point_Five_Jr I'm surprised they didn't do much about people downloading the game, the amount of videos on youtube showing how to do it!


Not yet to early still getting people tags watch in about 2-3 weeks tops you'll see them banning tags

Yay I was one on xbox one, so is it a glitch or do i have a bad copy the campaign sound does not work, I see the subtitles, and the person im talking to sometimes has sound but not all the time, is this issue worldwide????

Not as pleased as i thought i would be tbh. You cant do nothing on MP free roam. The driving feels like when ive modded GTA IV cars but it turned out wrong. Also lots of bugs online, but thats to be expected and hopefully fixed soon. The campaign is good, but they should of added more things to hack in the world.

Not worth it too me, Way too much hype, Physics are awful, Congratulations to them! But they hyped it too much, also look at comparison videos, E3 2012 - 2014 gameplay, it's ridiculous
