VizionEck announced for PS4 - Trailer

VizionEck is slated to cast the player as a cube tasked with destruction akin to the kind you would expect from a typical FPS shooter. You become a "Ranger", your health is indicated via the brightness of your outlines with solid white as healthy and almost black being nearly dead. The developer opted to use simple but elegant visual art styles in order to create interesting and vibrant gameplay scenarios.

This actually has its advantages. The less health you have, the harder it is for enemies to see your outlines. Positioning yourself over a large black surface makes your cube practically invisible. Sneaking up on another player becomes easy.VizionEck

It seems very different for today's gaming standards. I think it would be an instructing buy as long as they don't keep the price point at $59.99, if it is a bit more reasonable, I would get it. It would be nice to see some actual gameplay very soon though.

Wait platformers are weird now? I guess you didn't play any Ratchet and Clank or Jak and Daxter growing up? Or was the 360/PS3 your first console? This is the standard now apparently folks. If its not CoD or battlefield people like the_hillbilly come on internet forums and complain about new ideas. Gaming is dead.

Because some of us (like me) enjoy weird games that are different from all the recycled garbage (COD, Battlefield, Need for Speed, whatever). Don't get me wrong some of those games are still pretty fun to play, but nothing ever changes. It's games like these that make you feel as if you're actually playing something new, that's my opinion at least.

And as for the free game of the month, while I can kind of understand where you're coming from it's not as if Sony's obligated to do this at all..


yeah, no i completely agree with ya, plus i haven't tried these new games so i can't really say anything yet.

Just looking at the video preview is annoying to me. Im not getting this game, it makes no sense and doesn't look fun.
