They equated the title as to be a spiritual successor to 1999′s Alpha Centuari, giving fans of sci-fi turn-based strategy games something to smile about. Due to an article slip from French site JeuxVideoPC the gaming press was able to grab the key points regarding the project; these details as well as the announcement trailer can be found below.

  • Players will go beyond earth as with Alpha Centauri.
  • The game starts on an alien world.
  • Lush, Airy and Fungal are the three world types.
  • Cities built can be expanded to other planets which will include outposts.

This game reminds me of halo wars like a lot

Looks decent I probably won't pick it up though.

-Tupac For some reason the game just reminds me of Halo.

It sort of has the graphic interface of like Halo Wars. I'll give you that.

I have quite a few friends who play this game series and they've told me a little about it and showed me what it looks like and the series looks interesting, just haven't got around to it. If anything I'll more and likely start off on this one once it's out.

ConsolePosted:

I am a console gamer (xbox one) and a PC so idc if it were to come to consoles but it would be nice. I have played and still do play civ 5.

Wavves Not for PS4? Don't care about this game.

BAHAHAHAHAHA.
You'd care if it was.

PS4 is crap anyways.

Dem Xbox exclusives though.
Wow, fanboys at their best here. This is PC news, and Civ games have always been PC exclusive (excluding the decent ports of Civ:Rev)
(BTW, Xbox has 2 exclusives, Ryse and Forza. Titanfall is out for PC so really Sony wins Infamous, Knack, and Killzone)

Wake Seems most people in the comments don't know very much about Civ or are console only people. Looking forward to this game, Civilization has always been one of my favorite game series. Hopefully I won't have to start a new game every time I see Ghandi in this one.

Yeah half the people commenting don't seem to understand the game. One guy talking about Halo: spartan assault?! Probably meant Halo Wars

The Civ: revolution game was pretty bad, compared to Civ 5.

In all likelihood there will not be a console release. Civ is just mainly a PC game

To me people need to stop comparing civ:rev to civ 5, civ rev is fun because it's different and faster paced(not necessarily bad). You can play an entire civ rev game with friends in about 2 hours.Whereas civ 5 is a more detailed slower paced game(not a bad thing necessarily) that you play for about 4-5+ hours a game. Personally, i had more fun playing civ rev, but I enjoy civ 5 more, especially with all the dlc.

Civ Rev is a remake of Civilization one, just with better graphics.

Um no? The original civ was 2d and had even less features than its future console brother. Civ revolution was just a to the side civ game mainly based off of civ 4.
