Battlefield 4 'Naval Strike' trailer teases chaotic sea-based warfare

4.7
DICE has released a new Battlefield 4 trailer teasing the chaotic water-based warfare of the upcoming DLC expansion, Naval Strike.

The new expansion pack, due in late March, will feature four new maps with a heavy focus on ship-to-ship combat, as well as five new weapons, the amphibious hovercraft vehicle, ten assignments and Carrier Assault mode.

Battlefield Premium members will receive access to Naval Strike two weeks before it goes on general sale.

In a recent Q&A, lead gameplay designer Gustav Halling explained that the greatest challenge with Naval Strike's maps was giving boats enough room to be useful and infantry enough land to fight over. DICE decided to minimize the number of land-based vehicles to keep the spotlight on sea-and-air skirmishes.

Infantry can shape these battles by opening and closing flood gates to bases, though they may find their firefights disrupted by shifting aircraft wreckage and falling submarines.

Air units will find plenty of room to manoeuvre, but helicopter pilots will have to keep their eyes out for a new threat: engineers get a new Heli-Mine gadget that can block off paths for low-flying choppers.

The DLC sounds pretty good, but I didn't really see that much in the teaser trailer thing. But hopefully the trailer their supposed to release tomorrow will be better.

Either way, I probably won't be getting this DLC, seeing as I don't have that much money right now.

Activez- How is BF4? I've been playing BF3 a lot recenlty and really enjoy it. Used to be a CoD player but we all know CoD is boring.

I loved bf3 so much more than bf4. It's just a little broken, id stick to bf3 for now.

Jesus what else can they do to the helis to take them down instantly-.- no joke in bf4 helis arnt worth a crap but in bf3 it was powerful if you were skilled enough to move around the map. I personally think they buffed heli munuverability in bf4 and ontop of that they at heli mines like comeon-.-
