GTA Online update adds anti-cheat measures

Grand Theft Auto Online developer Rockstar North has issued an update that adds anti-cheating measures into the mix.

It’s a small update, but a post over on the Rockstar news wire reveals that he update adds, “improved anti-cheat measures,” and a, “fix for several GTA$ and RP exploits.”

Exactly what these are and how they work remains to be seen. Did you notice anything new over the weekend?

Ever since this update was released my Xbox keeps freezing when I play a game, don't know if it has anything to do with it but it only happened after I downloaded the update.

BBX Yet people on stealth or actual working DNS's are still able to word says, I can see this being a long battle with the modders.


The DNS is patched and has been patched, so whoever is telling you DNS works is an awful liar. On the other hand, Stealth still works (obviously).

I joined a money lobby and I still have the money that I got from joining it. Hopefully I don't lose it but I am sure I will eventually.

I played earlier today and I still have my 6 billion dollars so hopefully they just patch the exploits and leave it at that because I probably won't play ago if they take my money.

They should of had these "Anticheat measures" before the game even came out. But better late then never.

I have a couple of billion dollars. I can't play right now, but it'd be interesting to see if my money is gone... Hopefully I'm not banned - that would suck.
