PS4 controllers apparently compatible with OS X

4.5
Like the DualShock 3, the next iteration of the PlayStation controller design works surprisingly well on an Apple-branded computer. Product developer Chris Gallizzi demonstrates the functionality in a Vine clip below, but offers no explanation on how he was able to convince the Sony controller to play nice with Apple's hardware.

If the DualShock 4 functions similarly to its predecessor in this capacity, it should offer simple Bluetooth connectivity under OS X. Simply fire up your Mac, turn on the controller, follow a few simple instructions, and you're done. Creating the link takes less than five minutes, and requires no more skill than changing your desktop's wallpaper.

That's cool, I used my 360 controller on windows and they will do the same with one. I prefer my apple stuff for school and casual stuff not games

Well no surprise for a generic 2.1 Bluetooth hid controller.

What gets me is why in hell aren't the headsets compatible? Since it Bluetooth 2.1 that's in the system.

That is actually a pretty cool development, but I don't play games on stuff like that.

Shen And this is useful why lol?

You could play games on your Mac with the PS4 controller...that's why.

Axe I might consider getting the ps4 then, because I am a huge apple fanboy. I have an iMac, and a macbook pro that this would be useful for.

I don't even know what to say to you.

Why not just buy the controller?

That is pretty funny, haha.
I wonder if it will work with Windows because there is no reason to play games on a Mac.

That's a really unique idea that they're doing if it's true.
