GameStop no longer taking PS4 pre-orders

A spokesperson for GameStop has said that retailer has stopped taking pre-orders for the PS4.


A GameStop spokesperson has told GameInformer that "due to high demand for the system, GameStop is not currently taking additional store reservations for the PlayStation 4."

The GameStop website has listed the console as "sold out," but interested customers can submit their email address to receive new information.

Last month, a memo from Sony was leaked telling GameStop to accept an unlimited number of PS4 pre-orders, and to ignore previously defined PS4 allotment limitations. This came after Sony already warned that PS4 demand "may well outstrip supply."

Are you stating that the PS4 sucks? Or that because they won't be accepting pre-orders anymore makes Sony/GameStop suck?

Just because they aren't taking anymore pre-orders doesn't mean PS4 sucks. Just like if they stopped taking pre-orders for the Xbox One, it wouldn't make them suck or the other company better because of it.


The quality of a console is not effected by the sales. Gamestop doesn't really suck either seeming that there is an extremely high demand for the next generation of consoles. They have been doing a pretty good job so far

Just because they aren't taking anymore pre-orders doesn't mean PS4 sucks. Just like if they stopped taking pre-orders for the Xbox One, it wouldn't make them suck or the other company better because of it.

What do you mean by that? If you are saying that the PS4 sucks then you have no solid proof behind it other than "Because Microsoft is better"

I'll still be getting the PS4 even though pre-orders are pretty much sold out. I wouldn't mind waiting a week or so after its launch
