E3 2013: Xbox One Launches November 2013 for $499

4.6
The Xbox One will cost $500 at retail when it launches in November, Microsoft announced at its E3 press conference today.

For comparison, the Xbox 360 launched in 2005 and cost $400 for a 20GB model, or $300 for the "Core" model.

I guess the price is fair, and we all know it won't take long for it to drop. :)

From a business standpoint microsoft is gonna make more money in the future possibly. because cable prices and such are sky rocketing more and more people can't afford it so, Eff it? make a huge entertainment gaming center.

Pretty decent price only around 320 GBP and should wait till Christmas time to get a few deals on the console with games as well maybe

Casbah Does anyone realize its underpriced?

When the 360 was released it was $400 for the 20GB
Your getting A new console, Kinect, a 500GB harddrive.
A 250GB hardrive for 360 cost $100 so this is a $200 upgrade for free.

Trust me anyone who says they are waiting till the price drops is lying.

Not forgetting that retailers are obviously going to throw in a game or two for ordering with them. Very well priced.

That's a fair price I'd say.

Its definitely not over-priced. Its only 100 more than the 360 release and has a lot of technological advances, as well as coming with kinect. Although Kinect may be unnecessary, the price is fair.

Nearly passed out when I heard the price for the console. I'd definitely get it if it is much lower in price but 429 is a lot to ask for especially the rate out economy is at the moment. A lot of people won't buy this due to the price just because it is so expensive. Hopefully it goes down by the release date. Cheers Microsoft you greedy twats.

Hopefully it'll come down "A-lot" before Christmas time.
