E3 2017: PlayStation Recap: Days Gone, Call of Duty, God of War

4.7
Today, during Sony Interactive Entertainment’s E3 2017 press conference developer Naughty Dog released a new trailer for Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy was first announced at PlayStation Experience 2016. The expansion stars fan-favorite and one of the series’ more prominent characters, Chloe Frazer. In The Lost Legacy, Chloe must enlist the aid of renowned mercenary Nadine Ross, — who you may know from Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End — in order to recover a fabled ancient Indian artifact and keep it out of the hands of a ruthless war profiteer.

Notably, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is set to be the first ever standalone release in history of the Uncharted series and will be Naughty Dog’s most substantial story expansion to date. It will be available as a standalone game on store shelves, as well as for digital download.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is set to hit PS4 on August 22, 2017 (August 23rd if you’re in Europe) for $39.99 USD. Anyone who pre-orders The Lost Legacy at participating retailers will receive a free digital copy of Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy (which is scheduled to hit the PS4 as a PS2 classic later this year) when it launches on August 22nd.

Horizon: Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds
As one of this year’s most critically-acclaimed titles, Horizon: Zero Dawn became one of the marquee titles for PS4 owners, with most of the game set to arrive later this year.

During Sony Interactive Entertainment’s press conference at E3 2017, new DLC for Horizon: Zero Dawn was revealed for later this year, titled “The Frozen Wilds.”

Days Gone Gets 12 Minutes of Gameplay

First announced at PSX 2016, Days Gone is in development as a PS4 exclusive by Sony in-house studio, SIE Bend Studio (commonly referred to as Sony Bend). The game is set to be the first IP created by the developer since Syphon Filter in 1999, and will be the studio’s first game since 2010 (aka it’s been a long-time-coming).

As briefly mentioned above, Days Gone is an open-world action-adventure game that is set to two years after a devastating global pandemic. In the game you play as Deacon St. John, a bounty hunter facing a brutal struggle for survival, and who is searching for a reason to live.

God of War
The game, in development at Sony Santa Monica under the direction of Cory Barlog, looks even better than it did last year.

You can check out the trailer below, and see if you can avoid being impressed, because I couldn’t.

God of War will be released exclusively for PS4 in early 2018.

PlayStation conference could have been a lot better, to be honest, a few games did interest me though.

I don't see why everyone was saying Sony did the worse out of all competitors. There's a ton of awesome titles listed here, I will be buying a good handful of these games. Spider-Man looks amazing, as well as the new uncharted and assasians creed. God of war games also always have interested me so I will be most likely picking up a copy as that as well.

After watching almost the full Sony conference. I'd say the only games that didn't peak my interest where the VR games and Detroit Become Human.

MajPosted:

I'm only really bothered about COD WWII lmao

These trailers look pretty cool, the only problem I have is with the Spiderman one, in my opinion, it just looks a bit too cartoony.
