4.2
EA’s Battlefield 1 has been one of the most successful first-person shooters of the year. Selling millions of copies worldwide, and has thousands of fans playing the game daily.

With all the success the game has had this year, fans were expecting a new Battlefield in 2017. However, EA’s chief financial officer, Blake Jorgensen, confirmed that the developers have no plans of releasing a new Battlefield game any time soon.

Jorgensen confirmed that EA will not be releasing a new Battlefield game in 2017. In an interview with Digital Trends, Jorgensen said that DICE will continue to focus on Battlefield 1 and iron out all the issues and bugs before taking the next step.

EA is also currently working on the new Star Wars game which is set to come out next year. Star Wars Battlefront II will be EA’s main focus going into 2017. Regardless of it being an old game, EA is also working on Battlefield 4 which came out in 2013. They are working on fixing all the bugs and issues that the fans have been complaining about.

Don't see why they would bring a new game out so soon, BF1 is good enough to last a few years at least before they think about making a new one.

Why is this being spun as news? Most battlefield games have 2 years between release. You don't need a yearly release to be successful. Battlefield One hasn't even seen it's first major DLC release and you are already expecting another game?

This is a bad as the people who are bitching about no GTA 6 or Elder Scrolls 6

No need to become a yearly release like COD Battlefield games can last s few years.

Good! No need to, lets you actually enjoy the game instead of junking it out the next year despite how good of a game it is.
