Apple delays launch of wireless AirPods

3.9
Apple unveiled the AirPods last month alongside the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. These wireless earphones were set to launch in late October. Today, Apple announced that they will be delaying the launch.

An Apple spokesperson told TechCrunch: "We don’t believe in shipping a product before it’s ready, and we need a little more time before AirPods are ready for our customers."

Apple has not given any clear indication to when they will be ready.

The AirPods are priced at $159 and offer battery life of up to five hours, and a case that contains its own battery, allowing you to charge your AirPods on the go.

These are ridiculous and I would lose them in a day.

I don't see why people would want to pay that much for ear buds, chances are people will just lose them. Definitely cheaper to just get wireless headphones.

gtapro151 At that price might as well get the beats but those funds now go too apple as well lol

Beats are crap, no one should ever consider wasting money on those. I can't comment on how good or bad these "AirPods" will be, but they won't be the best. They're also super overpriced.

Forcing people to buy wireless headphones or clunky duel-usage charger things to listen to sound on their phone is stupid.
Also, wayyy too expensive for some Apple headphones. $159.00 for a pair of headphones that only last 5 hours? No.

Are you kidding me... I would never pay that amount for those. Seems way too pricy.
