Halo 5: Forge PC specs revealed

Halo 5: Forge is making it's way to Windows 10 soon as announced earlier this week.

343 stated, "Halo 5: Forge is primed to bring Halo 5’s entire Forge level-creation experience to Windows 10 PCs, along with a suite of great new features, including full mouse and keyboard support, 4k resolution display capability, a brand new content browser to makes showcasing and sharing your creations easier than ever before, and the ability play your creations with friends online through custom games. "

Today, 343 Industries shared the Halo 5: Forge system requirements, which you can find below. Take note that Windows 10 Anniversary Edition is required.

Halo 5: Forge PC Specs

Minimum

  • OS: Windows 10 Anniversary Edition Version 1607 or later
  • DirectX: DirectX 12
  • CPU: Intel Core i5 at 2.3Ghz or AMD Equivalent
  • GPU: GeForce 650 Ti
  • VRAM: 2GB
  • RAM: 8GB
  • HDD: 40GB

Recommended - 1080P @ 60FPS

  • OS: Windows 10 Anniversary Edition Version 1607 or later
  • DirectX: DirectX 12
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K at 3.4GHz or AMD Equivalent
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 970
  • VRAM: 4GB
  • RAM: 12GB
  • HDD: 40GB

Ultra - 4K @ 60FPS

  • OS: Windows 10 Anniversary Edition Version 1607 or later
  • DirectX: DirectX 12
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K at 3.4GHz or AMD Equivalent
  • GPU: GeForce 980 Ti
  • VRAM: 6GB
  • RAM: 16GB
  • HDD: 40GB

ProJimmyRustler It's odd that they mention that a RAM amount will effect how the game will run at 1080p. From my quick google research, RAM does not effect FPS that much if at all.


My main thought is if they are loading higher quality models/textures on the PC version it can take up more RAM. I can't see it needed 16GB though. 12GB is ridiculous enough. It should be using the VRAM in the GPU to do calculations on those higher quality assets.
